Week 5 delivered dramatic finishes, overtime thrillers! The San Francisco 49ers remained undefeated, while the Buffalo Bills survived a wild Monday night comeback to beat the Rams in overtime. Let’s dive in!

Who saw this coming??? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers earned their first win of the season, defeating the Dallas Cowboys 24–16 at AT&T Stadium. Tampa Bay’s explosive running game and opportunistic defense proved too much for Dallas, which committed three turnovers.
Daniels played efficiently, avoided turnovers and helped Tampa Bay produce 419 total yards.
His biggest contribution was keeping the offense under control while Irving and the running game took over.
The takeaway: Daniels showed he could handle the pressure of a prime-time game and help Tampa Bay secure its first victory.
For the Cowboys this is completely unacceptable, being asleep on the wheel against a bad Bucs team! On paper the Cowboys should win this division but I don’t know if they can be trusted! This team reminds me of the 2019 Cowboys! Where they had expectations and showed glimpses! Just like they did against Houston last week!
Don’t trust Brian Schottenheimer! I don’t think he’s qualified. Jerry Jones needs to put his ego on check and let a Coach challenge him!
Well time is ticking on Dallas..

WHAT A FINISH! 🤯 The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Philadelphia Eagles 19–17 on a 57-yard field goal by Cam Little as time expired, completing one of the wildest finishes of the NFL season.
Philadelphia appeared to have stolen the game with just eight seconds remaining, but a huge kickoff return gave Jacksonville one last chance. The Jaguars made it count.
At 4–1, Jacksonville strengthened its position in the AFC South. And looks like they’ll win it so far!
The offense showed explosive potential, and Little demonstrated why a reliable kicker can change a game in seconds.
However, the Jaguars need to clean up their penalties and improve their red-zone execution.
At 2–3, Philadelphia suffered its third consecutive defeat.
The Eagles showed resilience, particularly on defense, but their offensive inconsistency and injury problems remain major concerns.
The late special-teams breakdown made an already painful loss even worse.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Indianapolis Colts 34–22 behind a spectacular performance from running back Jaylen Warren and another efficient outing from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The biggest story? Jaylen Warren scored touchdowns on an 80-yard reception and a 50-yard run! Pittsburgh repeatedly answered Indianapolis’ attempts to come back and pulled away in the fourth quarter.
The Steelers got back on track after their previous loss to Cleveland. And are still in the AFC North race at 3-2 tied with the Bengals, and the Browns! Trailing the division leading Ravens!
The positives:
- Warren demonstrated that he can be a game-changing offensive weapon.
- Rodgers continued his strong run of performances.
- The defense contained one of the NFL’s most dangerous running backs.
The biggest takeaway is that Pittsburgh can win with a combination of Rodgers’ passing and Warren’s explosive running.
Indianapolis had opportunities to win but couldn’t capitalize.
The concerns:
- Too many field goals instead of touchdowns.
- Jonathan Taylor was held below 50 rushing yards.
- The defense gave up two long touchdowns.
The Colts need to improve their red-zone efficiency if they want to compete consistently against stronger opponents.

The Green Bay Packers dominated the Chicago Bears 31–7 in a one-sided NFC North showdown. Green Bay’s explosive passing attack overwhelmed Chicago’s defense, while the Packers forced five turnovers to cruise to victory.
Despite the loss, Chicago remains .500.
The concerns:
- The offense struggled without Caleb Williams.
- Five turnovers made winning almost impossible.
- The secondary couldn’t contain Green Bay’s receivers.
- The Bears failed to score in the second half.
Chicago will need better quarterback play and improved ball security to remain competitive in the NFC North.
Too early to pull the fire alarm in Chicago.
Williams’ potential return will be a major storyline heading into the next game.
Am I surprised the Packers beat the Bears? No I’m not you throw out logic in this matchup. I’m surprised that the Packers punched the Bears in the mouth!
Both teams had split their first four games overall, and this Week 5 victory brought the Packers level with the Bears at 3–2.
Chicago will be looking for payback at home vs the Packers on Christmas! 🎄

The New England Patriots put together one of their most impressive performances of the season, crushing the Las Vegas Raiders 45–17 behind a five-touchdown performance from quarterback Drake Maye.
Maye threw four touchdown passes and ran for another, while New England’s offense piled up 536 total yards. The Raiders had no answers for the Patriots’ passing attack.
For the Patriots I expected them to win this one!
Not sold yet on the Patriots.
For the Raiders they’re hitting reality playing tougher teams. Wasn’t one of those people hyping up the Raiders.

The New York Jets beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at MetLife Stadium, ending Cleveland’s three-game winning streak with a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback. Heavy rain, defensive pressure, and a costly special-teams mistake decided the game.
The Browns managed just 198 total yards, while the Jets’ eight sacks repeatedly disrupted Cleveland’s offense.
The Jets won with defense and a timely break, while the Browns let a winnable game slip away.
New York snapped its three-game losing streak and improved to 2–3. Cleveland fell to 3–2 after its own three-game winning streak ended.
The biggest concern for Cleveland was its offense: eight sacks allowed, dropped passes, and the catastrophic punt-snap error overshadowed a strong defensive performance
For the Browns I’m not going to overreact they’re going to be fine, it was a mistake filled day in a monsoon. They have a huge division game at home against the Ravens next week! And still in the AFC North mix!

In a AFC West Rivalry game, where you had to defy logic for both teams, The Denver Broncos rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers on October 11, 2026, handing Los Angeles its fifth straight loss to start the season.
The story of the game: The Chargers looked poised to win after taking a seven-point lead in the third quarter, but turnovers and a crucial fourth-down stop allowed Denver to take control.
- Broncos: Improved to 3–2 and earned their first AFC West win of the season. And still in the AFC West Mix alongside Kansas City.
-
Chargers: Fell to 0–5, their worst start since 2003.
A total bust of a season!

In a huge game here in October, NFC West Rivalry, we have a game that will decide playoff seeding, the San Francisco 49ers stayed undefeated with a dramatic comeback victory over the Seattle Seahawks on October 11, 2026, at Lumen Field.
The story of the game: Seattle had chances to win, but four turnovers proved costly. Brock Purdy delivered in the fourth quarter, and Eddy Piñeiro’s late field goal gave San Francisco the victory.
The biggest difference was Seattle’s ball security. The Seahawks committed four turnovers, and San Francisco converted those mistakes into 21 points.
Seattle clearly missed Kenneth Walker! And the other injured running backs! Seahawks don’t have that running threat like they did last year in their Super Bowl title run!
The 49ers won because they made the most of Seattle’s mistakes and executed when it mattered most.
San Francisco wasn’t perfect, but Purdy’s fourth-quarter performance and the defense’s timely takeaways made the difference.

The Baltimore Ravens pulled off a dramatic overtime comeback against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football, October 11, 2026.
The big story: With Lamar Jackson sidelined by injury, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley led Baltimore back from a late deficit, scored the go-ahead touchdown in overtime, and watched the defense seal the victory with an interception.
Baltimore won this game with resilience, a dominant rushing attack, and clutch quarterback play.
The Ravens trailed for most of the night, but Huntley delivered two crucial fourth-quarter scoring plays and a game-winning touchdown in overtime.
Atlanta deserves credit for its defensive touchdown and strong performance from London and Penix. However, the Falcons couldn’t stop Baltimore when the game was on the line.
Atlanta blew this game! But still in the mix in the weak NFC South!
For Baltimore huge win! Leading the AFC North at 4-1, and can lean on Derrick Henry, and Snoop Huntley!

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Los Angeles Rams in an absolutely wild Monday Night Football thriller on October 12, 2026, at SoFi Stadium.
The big story: Josh Allen’s incredible dual-threat performance and a blocked field goal in overtime helped Buffalo escape with a three-point victory after the Rams fought back to force overtime.
This was one of the most entertaining games of the week.
The Rams’ passing game was spectacular, and Stafford nearly led a comeback for the ages. Nacua was practically unstoppable, and the offense scored 34 points.
But Buffalo had Josh Allen.
His 121 rushing yards, combined with his passing ability, kept the Bills dangerous throughout the game. And when the opportunity arrived in overtime, Buffalo’s defense made the biggest play of the night.
Buffalo escaped with the win, but the Rams proved they can compete with anybody when Stafford and Nacua are clicking. Los Angeles’ biggest concern remains its ability to execute on special teams in crucial moments.
For the Bills huge deal to be 4-1 and leading the
AFC East!
For the Rams, setback to be 2-3 trailing the 3-2 Seahawks, and the leading 5-0 49ers! And the special teams miscues! And the defense is problematic!
Game overall 🍿!
That’s the Week 5 recap!
