Week 4 was wild, with multiple comeback wins and several major injury storylines.
Steelers 24, Browns 27 – Week 4
Cleveland blew an 11-point fourth-quarter lead, then somehow stole it back at the buzzer.
Rodgers threw for 299 yards and 3 TDs, while DK Metcalf had 115 receiving yards. Watson countered with 268 yards and a TD, and Cleveland’s defense recorded five sacks.
The Browns are 3-1 and atop the AFC North, while Pittsburgh falls to 2-2. Cleveland’s defense ultimately made the biggest plays, but blowing that fourth-quarter lead is something the Browns can’t keep getting away.
Who would’ve thought the Browns possibly entered the AFC North group chat
Rams 24, Eagles 20
On the NFL on FOX main 1PM game, this was a brutal collapse by Philadelphia and an impressive fourth-quarter rally by Los Angeles.
The Rams dominated the overall game statistically, piling up 415 yards to Philadelphia’s 172.
Kyren Williams was the difference-maker late. He scored twice in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead 7-yard TD with 1:10 remaining. He finished with 80 rushing yards and 67 receiving yards.
Puka Nacua looked fully back: 9 catches for 125 yards in his return from injury.
The Rams didn’t just win-they exposed a major Eagles problem. Philadelphia’s defense kept them in control despite the offense struggling, but when the Rams finally started converting in the fourth quarter, Philly couldn’t sustain a drive or get the one defensive stop it needed.
Both teams leave Week 4 at 2-2, but the Rams feel like the team trending upward.

Patriots 29, Bills 26
On the Main 1PM CBS game on a doubleheader, This was the statement win of the week for New England.
Drake Maye bounced back in a huge way: 22/37 for 269 yards and 3 TDs, including the game-winning score. After a rough start to the season, this was exactly the performance New England needed.
Buffalo led 26-21 late, after Josh Allen hit Keon Coleman for a 34-yard touchdown. It looked like the Bills had escaped.
Then Maye delivered. He drove New England 73 yards in 2:37, finishing with a 23-yard TD to Efton Chism Ill with
1:55 left. Maye and Rhamondre Stevenson then connected on the successful two-point conversion to make it 29-26.
The defense sealed it: Craig Woodson intercepted Josh Allen with 1:05 remaining, allowing the Patriots to run out the clock.
Going from a disastrous 36-5 loss to Jacksonville to walking into Buffalo and beating the 3-0 Bills is a massive turnaround. The win moved the Patriots to 2-2 and gave Maye, Mike Vrabel and the entire team a much-needed confidence boost.
Am I sold on the Patriots..?? Not yet..
Still say Buffalo takes the East still.
Jaguars 22, Bengals 17
This was a gritty road win for Jacksonville and a frustrating loss for Cincinnati.
Jacksonville controlled the game early, taking a 13-3 lead and going into halftime up 13-6. Trevor Lawrence threw a TD to Brian Thomas Jr. after a 45-yard interception return by Jourdan Lewis set the Jaguars up in the red zone.
The Jaguars’ defense was outstanding against the run, holding Cincinnati to just 23 rushing yards. That’s an absurdly low number.
The Bengals also lost Ja’Marr Chase to a concussion early, while Higgins left late with an abductor injury, making Burrow’s late comeback attempt even more impressive.
The Jaguars are legit. They’re now 3-1, and they’ve beaten two AFC contenders in consecutive weeks. Their defense is becoming their identity: Jacksonville has generated eight takeaways through four games and is suffocating teams on the ground.
For Cincinnati, 2-2 doesn’t tell the whole story. Burrow played well enough to win, but two costly interceptions and the loss of Chase/Higgins ultimately proved too much to overcome.
Chiefs 30, Raiders 27
On the Main 4:25 CBS game, What a finish. Kansas City survived a wild AFC West battle to remain 4-0, while Las Vegas dropped to 3-1.
Kenneth Walker III was the difference-maker. He erupted for 177 rushing yards and 2 TDs, including a 76-yard run that completely changed the game.
Patrick Mahomes came alive late. After a relatively quiet first three quarters, he hit Tyquan Thornton for a 55-yard bomb that set up Kansas City’s go-ahead score. Thornton finished with 111 yards and 2 TDs.
Kansas City still finds ways to win, but Vegas showed it belongs. The Raiders actually outgained the Chiefs 437-399 and controlled possession for nearly 36 minutes.
The difference was Kansas City’s explosive plays and, ultimately, winning the turnover battle 2-0.
The Chiefs are still the team to beat! Meanwhile the Raiders are a young talented team learning the ropes!
49ers 24, Broncos 14
This was a gritty, defensive game that San Francisco took over late.
The first half was ugly: It was tied 3-3 at halftime, with both defenses controlling the game.
The turning point: Denver’s Marvin Mims Jr. fumbled a punt in the third quarter, and San Francisco recovered at the Broncos’ 28. Brock Purdy then found Deebo Samuel for a 1-yard TD, giving the 49ers their first lead.
Christian McCaffrey extended it: CMC punched in a 1-yard TD in the fourth quarter to make it 17-6.
Denver fought back: Bo Nix hit Jaylen Waddle for a 13-yard TD, followed by a successful two-point conversion, cutting the deficit to 17-14 with just over four minutes left.
Then George Kittle happened. Purdy hit Kittle on a short screen, and Kittle broke loose for a 56-yard game-sealing TD with 2:15 remaining.
Denver had one final chance, but Wil Lutz missed a 58-yard field goal, ending the comeback attempt.
The 49ers are 4-0, and this may have been their most impressive win. They didn’t have their usual offensive fireworks, but they controlled the line of scrimmage, forced a critical turnover and made the biggest plays when Denver finally threatened.
For Denver, 2-2 feels a little worse than the record suggests. The defense kept them in the game, but the offense couldn’t consistently generate explosive plays until late.
49ers are legit!
Panthers 32, Lions 26
Carolina pulled off one of the biggest wins of Week 4, beating Detroit on Sunday Night Football behind a monster performance from Bryce Young and Tetairoa McMillan.
Tetairoa McMillan was unstoppable: 14 catches, 192 yards and 2 TDs. He had 147 yards and a TD before halftime.
Bryce Young delivered: 29/41 for 329 yards, 2 TDs and O INTs. He opened the game 11-for-11 and looked like a franchise QB.
Chuba Hubbard dominated on the ground: 20 carries for 122 yards and 2 TDs, giving Carolina balance when Detroit tried to sell out against the pass.
The Panthers are now 2-2, and this wasn’t a fluky win-they scored 32 against a Detroit team that entered the week with one of the league’s better offenses. McMillan and Young looked like a legitimate QB-WR combination.
For Detroit, the defense is the concern. The Lions are also 2-2, but they’ve now allowed a season-high in points in every game, according to NFL.com’s Week 4 analysis.
Carolina might win the wide open NFC South again..
Falcons 45, Saints 24
Bijan Robinson set the tone: 19 carries for 145 yards and
2 TDs, including a 59-yard touchdown on Atlanta’s third play.
Brian Robinson Jr. was just as important: 62 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. The two Robinsons combined for 207 rushing yards and all five of Atlanta’s rushing TDs.
Michael Penix Jr. played efficiently: 15-of-20 for 223 yards and a TD, with no interceptions. He hit Jahan Dotson for a 31-yard score that essentially put the game away.
Drake London continued his hot stretch: 5 catches for 96 yards, including several explosive plays.
New Orleans couldn’t run the ball: The Saints managed only 50 rushing yards, making it extremely difficult to keep pace.
After starting 0-2, Atlanta has won back-to-back road games by a combined 80-38 and is now 2-2, tied with Carolina atop the NFC South.
For the Saints, 1-3 is a serious problem. Tyler Shough threw for 286 yards, but New Orleans couldn’t score through the air until the game was essentially decided.
