by Season 29 of ABC’s The Bachelor is set to debut later this month on January 27th. Up until now, it seemed as though it would be the normal season starring Grant Ellis with some ups and some downs. Grant is only the second African American to take on the lead role. He is a nice enough guy and it all appeared to be a season we were all looking forward to.
Sadly, rumors out of the producers room have already slipped out that Matt James will now be joining him as a late season addition of Co-Bachelor. While most of the season has already been filmed, this is “reality” tv and edits can always happen after the fact. One rumor has it that he debuts midway through the season and that in fact, his relationship ended with Rachel Kirkconnell ended months ago and he has kept it a secret this entire time, with it been released now for this exact reason.
As a avid fan of the show, all I can say is that this is one rumor I hope never sees the light of day. Matt James already had his time on the show and he was an absolute disaster. Both Michelle Young and Rachel Thurston the runner ups on those shows, went on to mixed reviews with their own seasons.
Whatever the case may actually be, we at KOS wish Grant Ellis nothing but the best, and hope this latest rumor out of Hollywood has no legs.
