Lorain Cruise Past Shaw 44-7

Shaw Stadium- It was a cold night for football. This was the last game of the season for both teams. The Lorain offense marched down the field first to put the first points of the quarter on the board. The touchdown came on a halfback sweep play from the three yard line.

Shaw’s offense turned the ball over on downs. A few plays later, Lorain scored again on a 14-yard pass play for a touchdown. This gave Lorain the lead 14-0 with 1:47 left in the first quarter.

The second quarter began with both teams going back and forth without putting any points on the board. Shaw threw an interception and Lorain took it to the house. The pick-six made it 21-0 Lorain.

Just before halftime, Shaw finally got on the board. Junior wide receiver Delon Bush hauled in the touchdown, making the score 21-7.

Lorain started off with the football in the third quarter and just settled for a field goal after getting stuffed at the goal line. After Shaw turned the ball over on downs again, Lorain ran it in on a QB keeper, extending the lead to 31-7.

Lorain dominated the game all the way through the fourth quarter. They scored again on a designed run that went for thirty-five yards for the touchdown. After the kickoff, Shaw had good field position to possibly score, yet Shaw fumbled the ball and Lorain scooped and scored for a 20-yard TD.

Lorain defeats Shaw by the score of 44 to 7.
