Kansas City Chiefs Defeat Cleveland Browns 33-29: Games Balls & The Goat

Cleveland  Browns coverage at Kee On Sports is brought to you by these fine sponsors – https://keeonsports.com/sponsors/3/

Oh, the difference one season can make.  Last year, following a blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens on opening day, most fans were worried about the Cleveland Browns winning 5 games in 2020.  This season after a narrow 33-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, you would have to imagine they are very encouraged.

Had it not been for three ill-timed and costly Cleveland second half turnovers, today’s result would have been much different. But alas, they happened, and when you are playing the best team in the AFC, you cannot afford to make them and still expect to win.

For the Browns, both running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt made big plays when they had to and the Browns will have them to continue to count on.  Baker was next to flawless until the very last time he touched the ball, when he made his only big, but very costly mistake.

Rookie wide receiver Anthony Schwartz looks like he going to be a real speed threat, but will have the ups and downs any rookie can expect to have.  Once again however, the Browns secondary looks to be a serious concern and will need some time to mesh.

In a game where there were 62 combined points and 8 total touchdowns, there were plenty of big performances and game balls to be handed out.  Let’s get right to it on page two.

  1. Why didn’t they change from a zone (prevent) defense in the second half when they could not stop any underneath passes?

  2. It appears we seem to come out in the first half and cannot connect in the second half! Even though the Browns lost they are still my team and proud of them!
