The name Eric Young has been synonymous with TNA, pretty much from the beginning. He has been a diehard with the company except for one minor stint when he left for an ill-fated run with the WWE. Well, we all know TNA is in the midst of serious transition and made yet another rather shocking move today by releasing young.
Young is a two-time world champion in TNA with his wins coming in 2014 and 2020. Young’s résumé in the company also includes X-Division champion, four-time TNA world tag team champion, two-time NWA world tag team champion, Knockouts tag team champion with ODB, and TNA world beer drinking champion.
Time and time again Young proved to do everything right for the growth of the company, including this past weekend at TNA Slammiversary when he put over Ricky Sosa on the pre-show to Slammiversary.
With his leadership ability and years of experience, I can see him working behind the scenes at TNA next, but that is merely a guess.
For now, time will tell….
