Hoban Running Back Lamar Sperling Wins Player Of Week Eight

Archbishop Hoban won the Akron Holy War this past weekend with a dominant 42-7 performance over SVSM. A big reason for that victory was the fantastic play of their sensational tailback Lamar Sperling who once again had a performance to remember.

In the big win, Sperling had 300 plus yard and accounted for 5 total touchdowns. He ran for 4 and threw one more.  Sperling was a part of 5 of his teams 6 touchdowns on the night.  The fan vote went to Wellingtons Nathan Patfield. However, 6 of our 7 editors voted for Sperling, which earned him 60% and the win.

The fan vote winner counts for 30% of the final vote with our 7 editors casting votes as well.  Each editors vote accounts for 10%.  Most times, if not all times, the fan vote lines up with the editor vote, this was a rare exception.
