by One week into what seems like it is going to be a pretty entertaining and heartwarming Golden Bachelorette, major drama has broken out off screen. One of the top contenders to win Joan’s hart, Gil Ramirez has had a legitimate restraining order placed against him. Gil Ramirez’s ex was granted a restraining order against him just days before the reality series began production. The contestant allegedly has a history of stalking, according to the restraining order.

A hearing was scheduled for July 2, but was delayed because Ramirez had not been served. At the July 24 delayed hearing, the woman’s case was “dismissed without prejudice for lack of prosecution for lack of service.” Her restraining order was also dropped on that date.
With that being the case, Gil’s time may still be limited on the show, but if by some chance he pulls off the win, and gets engaged to Joan, this should not effect their long-term relationship.
The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesday Nights at 8 ETC on the ABC Network.
