Five Alarming Stats From the Cleveland Browns 34-10 Loss to Jacksonville

After a disastrous start to the Cleveland Browns 2026 season, a 34-10 loss at Jacksonville, there are more than a few stats that jump off the page describing just how awful it was.

Here are just a few that jumped off the page to us.

No Secondary at all

Trevor Lawrence went 18 of 23 passing for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns with wide open windows to pass through all game. He spread the ball around and had completions to 9 receivers.

There was little to no pressure on him and Jacksonville scored on their first four drives of the game, two of those coming off turnovers to hand the Jaguars a commanding 24-0 lead at halftime.

He launched 3 of his 4 touchdown passes in that half, with his fourth coming on the opening drive of the second half.  Somewhere Jim Schwartz is sitting back and laughing with how bad the Browns defense was today.

Lack of execution

The Cleveland Browns had 11 penalties for 75 yards.  Numerous times the penalties stopped what could have been a lucrative drive, including their final dive of the first half and first drive of the second. Both times doing little to nothing with good field position.  This included a goal to go situation late where they went backwards.

Lack of a run game again!

Yet again, the Cleveland Browns had no run game to start the season with.  When you’re down big early, that tends to happen. Dylan Sampson getting hurt didn’t help but their RB1 Quishon Judkins had a day to forget, with just 33 yards on 12 carries.

Turnovers into points

The Browns couldn’t stop handing the ball to Jacksonville early, as the Jaguars converted two turnovers into 14 points before Cleveland could even realize what was going on.

No pressure against constant pressure

Deshaun Watson took 5 sacks and it would have been more if it had not been for several holding penalties.  Meanwhile, the Browns barely made Lawrence sweat, with only one sack and limited pressure.
