Falls won the tip to start the game, as a battle of #24s ensued between Maddie Cerovac of Olmsted Falls and Jenna Slates of Green. Slates hit a tough mid range jumper over two defenders that had the Green student section going crazy.

#3 Avery DeLisio fought to force a jump ball that this time had the Olmsted Falls bench erupt. Cerovac and Slates straight up went to WAR on the boards. #25 Emma Schaefer hit a tricky and-1 whilst getting fouled hard but Falls still trailed by 2.

Falls was clicking defensively, and forced the ball out of Slates’ capable hands more than once. Offensively, Falls was clicking as well getting a beautiful corner three from #22 Jesse Simon as they led Green 12-8 with just 2 minutes to go in the 1st. The score at the end of 1: Olmsted Falls with 14 and Green with 12!

The 2nd frame started with a three from #32 Grace Largent of Olmsted Falls. Slates continued to look dominant for Green. Falls still maintained the 8 point lead with just 2 minutes to go in the 1st half, but Slates had something to say about it. At this stage, she led not only Green but the entire floor in scoring with 14! SLATES WITH THE HALF COURT BUZZER BEATER! But, Falls still led Green by just 2 at half, 29-27.

A charging foul on Green gave the ball back to Falls to start the 2nd half. A scoring shootout ensued, with both teams going back and forth.  A beautiful block from #20 of Green Brooke Shocklee had Coach Manning applauding her effort. #44 of Falls Addison Mullen had her own answer, with a DEEP high-arc three-pointer.

Coach Eaton of Falls looked as focused and poised as ever, with his team knocking down 3 after 3 but Green still held on. Wagler of Green went coast to coast with a beautiful one-handed layup but Green began to get into foul trouble. Falls still led Green 45-33 with just one more quarter to go.

The beginning of the 4th saw Green climb back slightly to start, with Slates hitting a monster and-1 to cut the lead within 5. For every Green bucket though, Falls had an answer for it as they hung on to win the district championship 63-48!
