Cole’s Corner: 2023 Five Round NFL Mock Draft 2.0

Round 5

  1. Chicago Bears – Jarrett Patterson, OG, Notre Dame
  2. Buffalo Bills – Mohamoud Diabate, LB, Utah
  3. Indianapolis Colts – Henry Bainivalu, OG, Washington
  4. Denver Broncos – Cam Jones, LB, Indiana
  5. Cleveland Browns – Trey Palmer, WR, Nebraska

I would argue that the Browns don’t really need another wide receiver, but in the fifth round with Palmer still on the board, why not make this pick. Palmer is a long receiver with home run threat ability. After a year or two of development, he has WR2 potential.

  1. Seattle Seahawks (mock trade with the Las Vegas Raiders) – Parker Washington, WR, Penn State
  2. Cleveland Browns – Mohamed Ibrahim, RB, Minnesota

The Browns need to genuinely consider what life after Nick Chubb on the roster will look like. A combination of Ibrahim and Jerome Ford could be a solid solution. Ibrahim in the fifth round is strong value.

  1. New York Jets – Ronnie Hickman, SAF, Ohio State
  2. Las Vegas Raiders – Jake Andrews, OG/C, Troy
  3. Carolina Panthers – Evan Hull, RB, Northwestern
  4. New Orleans Saints – Jalen Cropper, WR, Fresno State
