by It wasn’t easy but the Cleveland Cavaliers came from behind in the fourth quarter for the 14th time this season to get the win. This time it was a thrilling 117-108 come from behind win over Indiana. The Pacers have one of the worst records in the league and the Cavaliers came in a 23-point favorite, but it simply didn’t matter as they looked out of sorts the majority of the evening.
Cleveland trailed after each of the first three quarters before outscoring the Pacers in the 4th to pull out the 117-108 victory. The Cavaliers were led by their big two of Donovan Mitchell with 38 while James harden scored 28. The key stat coming from Thomas Bryant who had a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The fourth Cavaliers starter to score double digits with Keon Ellis with 13 points.
The Pacers received a strong showing off the bench from Dayton Flyer Obie Toppin with 21 points, including 10 of 10 from the foul line. Toppin also had 8 rebounds as he gives hope to the Pacers next year when everyone returns healthy and ready to go. Their key starter was Michah Potter with 21 points as he shot 6 of 10 from the field. Their key 3 point shooter was Slawson with 19 total points as he went 5 of 7 from deep.
For the Cavaliers, it came down to defense in the end, as it usually does for them late. Cleveland held Indian to only 17 points in the fourth quarter after allowing 91 points in the first 3 quarters for an average of 31 a quarter.
The Cavaliers will look to stay hot and wrap up the 4th seed tonight as they travel to Memphis at 8pm.
