Seth DeValve battling more than a tight end spot
Seth DeValve has been a familiar face within the Cleveland Browns organization as he is now entering his fourth year with the team. Questions loom with if he’ll pave his way to a roster spot as one of the final tight ends. That still remains a question as the 26-year-old missed a large portion of training camp battling a concussion.
If all fails at the tight end position, Freddie Kitchens has been playing around with DeValve’s skill set and he’s even seen time at the fullback position. In fact, he played a couple of snaps at fullback in last week’s preseason game against Tampa Bay, blocking in front of Kareem Hunt.
A tight end that played the fullback position for the team last year was Orson Charles, who was waived during the first half of training camp. Keep an eye out for DeValve playing fullback in the final preseason game tonight.
