With Duke Johnson now in Houston, Dontrell Hilliard has been seeing most of the work as the backup to Nick Chubb. Thursday night, Hilliard finished the night with 12 carries, going for 65 yards and a rushing score, along with catching two passes for 13 yards as well.
He’ll need to step up during the first half of the season with Kareem Hunt suspended. Hilliard appears to have locked up the No. 2 spot behind Chubb for the first half of the season with his stellar play on the ground and through the air as well.
