Alternative Horizon Counseling delivers a different kind of 72-hour Drivers Intervention Program certified by the state of Ohio MHAS.
At AHCC they take pride in a non-judgmental, holistic approach to the clients they service and the education they provide. They believe in a three-tier mindfulness approach of mind, body and spirit.
By utilizing the power of positive thinking, personalized service & smaller class size, they provide clients an educational experience they will actually enjoy!
Their 72 hour program includes interactive activities consisting of educational presentations, enlightening speakers, feature films & videos, along with group sessions and individualized counseling.
The program also allows you supervised and designated recreation time to educate the wellness aspect of our approach, including the use of the hotel’s pool, spa and fitness center, plus some of the other hotel amenities.
They have multiple locations exclusively at Marriott hotels throughout Northeast Ohio, and offer the program in at least one location every month.
Alternative Horizon Counseling Center is committed to helping individuals take a holistic approach in coping with the negative effects and consequences of alcohol & drug use.
Certified by the state of Ohio MHAS, AHCC offers 8, 12 and 24 hour education classes that meet all court-ordered, probation and employer requirements. You can complete your AoD educational requirements (up to 24 hours) over the course of one weekend in a group setting. Clients will learn the skills necessary to make appropriate decisions regarding the use of legal / illegal drugs and/or alcohol.
Their education classes are taught by a team of educators whose own life experiences have been effected by the consequences of alcohol & drug use.

They provide affordable counseling, drug & alcohol assessment and education, along with life skill classes that satisfy the requirements of probation officers, defense attorneys, case managers, and applicable courts. They are also appropriate for anyone – adolescents and adults – seeking more information about drugs & alcohol.
