(1) Kansas City Chiefs
It was almost too good to be true for Chiefs fans all year as Patrick Mahomes simply couldn’t be stopped. For a while, it seemed as though they were destined for a 15-1 season and a spot in the SuperBowl opposite of the LA Rams.
The second-year sensation finished with an incredible 50 touchdowns and 5097 yards. He was unstoppable, as no one had an answer for him. Teams still don’t!
It is hard to fathom, but with Sammy Watkins, Tyreek Hill (most likely), Demarcus Robinson and Travis Kelce all lining up to catch balls from Mahomes, his numbers may get even better.
In fact, the only thing that stopped them last season was prime time games. As all of their losses came under the bright lights. With a schedule loaded with prime-time games this season, they will need to figure out a way to win with the whole world watching.
Andy Reid can never seem to win the big one, but it seems as though he may be destined to this season. Sure Kareem Hunt is on the Browns now, but Damien Williams and Carlos Hyde are both more than capable to get the job done. Mahomes makes everyone around him better.
The lone question mark with Kansas City is their shaky defense. Most times they would just go out and outscore teams to makeup for a poor defense. I’d imagine the game plan will be the same this year.
