(2) Houston Texans
They are one of the most explosive teams in the NFL. If they can ever figure out how to win a playoff game, they will become very dangerous. DeShaun Watson has already proven to be the real thing, and the next big thing!
Watson is fully recovered from an injury in 2017 that halted a tremendous rookie season, and showed as much last season with a tremendous output.
Watson finished 2018 with 26 touchdown passes and an incredible 4,165 yards. In 2017, in only 7 games, he tossed 19 touchdown passes and 1,699 yards. Watson is also a duel threat and can take off with his legs at any moment.
Making their offense even more potent is that fact that both of their top wideouts can stretch the field. DeAndre Hopkins is a top 10 wideout who is almost impossible to stop on a go route, and also has hands of glue!
His counterpart on the far side, Will Fuller V is almost as good! Fuller had an injury plagued 2018 season but still put up more then respectable numbers in only 7 games. If Fuller can stay healthy, Watson has the potential to toss 40 touchdowns this season.
Speaking of injury, backup running back D’Onta Foreman is looking to bounce back from last season on the sidelines in a cast to return to his 2017 form.
Foreman will be a key cog in the plan so they can get starting tailback Lamar Miller plenty of rest when needed. Miller, entering his 8th season cannot be tasked to carry the ball as much as he did last year, despite impressive numbers.
The Texans defense should be every bit as good as the offense with pro bowl standouts JJ Watt and Jadeveon Clowney wreaking havoc in opposing backfields.
If a quarterback does get a few seconds to throw, it will have to be through a tight window as Jonathan Joseph and Aaron Colvin will be draped all over wideouts.
Let’s hope your predictions are wrong the Browns play as well as they look on paper this year. GO BROWNS!
