AEW Dynasty Hits A Homerun With Several Instant Classic Matches

Will Ospreay defeated Bryan Danielson

Reaction – Fans thought this had the potential to be the 2024 Match of the Year.  After watching this 32 plus minute gem, I have to say, this WILL BE the 2024 Match of the Year.

It was a dream match that should be Danielson’s last and should the rumors of him separating his shoulder at the end of the match are true, it will be hist last match.

The bottom line is this, many said this was a one match card possibly, and this match was easily it! It lived up to the hype and cemented both men’s reputation as two of the very best in the business.  Sure, there was ZERO story heading into this match, but it didn’t need it.

The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) defeated FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) in a Ladder Match to win the vacant AEW World Tag Team Titles

Reaction – This match had the bad luck of following Danielson and Ospreay but it managed to get past that albatross and still put together a great match.  The knock on it was the fact that Jack Perry showed up in a mask to help The Young Bucks, and oddly enough, that was kind of the most predictable that happened all night.  Everyone saw that coming!

Swerve Strickland (w/Prince Nana) defeated Samoa Joe to win the AEW World Title

Reaction – If Khan put the belt on Strickland because he is a great worker bell to bell, and Joe wasn’t getting over or selling tickets, then that was a smart move.  If Khan put the strap on Strickland simply because the fans love that MORONIC dance by Nana, then Khan is a bigger moron then we may realize.  Either way, Strickland has earned it, and that is impossible to ignore.

  1. It should be Will Ospreay’s last match as well that botched power bomb was so bad. They say Ridge Holland is dangerous, well I’ve never seen him be that reckless. and then the guy had the nerve to say he is the best in the world GTFO
