AEW Dynasty Hits A Homerun With Several Instant Classic Matches

Roderick Strong defeated Kyle O’Reilly to retain the International Title

Reaction – No shock at all to see the amazing chemistry with these two as it showed again tonight.  You can tell they have been sharing a ring with each other in some form, for the better part of a decade.  Smart move keeping the belt on Strong for now as well.

I still see this group booting Wardlow out of it, and O’Reilly eventually joining it, but this loss needed to happen first.  Look for the double switch soon, Kyle in, Wardlow out.

Chris Jericho defeated HOOK to win the FTW Title

Reaction – This was another genius move, it keeps the intrigue going as you just know Jericho will get the most out of this new title.  “The Learning Tree” managed to get the best match out of Hook that we have seen yet.

It doesn’t matter if Hook is leaving next year or not, he needs a feud like this to prepare him for this industry long term.  The belt means nothing here, it is about the experience right now for Hook.

Timeless Toni Storm (w/Luther & Mariah May) defeated Thunder Rosa to retain the AEW Women’s Title

Reaction – Storm is doing perhaps the best work of any “character” in the entire industry right now, getting a ridiculous gimmick over to the moon!  Storm is at the top of her game right now, and as nice of a story it would have been for Rosa to win back the title she never lost, it is simply Storms time!

The only thing I cannot figure out is Storm hitting a low blow on Rosa for the win.  What exactly did she hit?

  1. It should be Will Ospreay’s last match as well that botched power bomb was so bad. They say Ridge Holland is dangerous, well I’ve never seen him be that reckless. and then the guy had the nerve to say he is the best in the world GTFO
