AEW Dynamite vs NXT 2.0: Who Won The Week?

At Kee On Sports we are blessed to have multiple sponsors for our Sports Entertainment content.

You can find them here – https://keeonsports.com/sponsors/5/

Each week we will breakdown what happened on NXT 2.0 along with AEW Dynamite and decide who had the better night.  If this segment becomes popular, we will stick with it and start doing it for Rampage and Smackdown as well.

NXT 2.0 Recap

The Main Event

MSK held on to the titles by defeating Jensen & Briggs, Trick Williams & Carmello Hayes and The Grizzled Young Veterans.

The Grizzled Young Veterans have a winning percentage about as lame as their name. The real story to come out of this is Jensen and Briggs nearly winning the belts and then somewhat lukewarmly helping the champs as they were attacked post-match by The Imperium.

A solid main event with plenty of in ring action and intrigue of what is to come.  I still say the influx of NXT tag Teams is a very good thing, but The Imperium would have been best suited for RAW where they badly needed new blood.

The Semi Main

Peter Dunne continued his role with a terrific win over Cameron Grimes, who by the way, is now looking for love.  Grimes made a good account of himself, but all signs point to him being a comedy act moving forward.

I’m still not sure why with Holland Ridge already being called up to the main roster, they steal have him as a lacky for Peter Dunne.  For now, they are set up to have a tag match next week with Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly, so I guess he serves a purpose on NXT for a few more weeks atleast.

Looking Ahead

When Tomaso Ciampa called out the entire roster looking for a challenge, was anyone really surprised that Bron Breakker showed up?  The fight for the Gold will take place later this month at NXT Halloween Havoc, live on Peacock.

The Women

WOW! Was it upset city this week or what?  First, Mandy Rose takes out Ember Moon.  That’s a giant signal for both as Moon is pretty much a gatekeeper at this point while Rose appears to be on the biggest hot streak and push of her career.

Meanwhile, later in the show Indi Hartwell shocked everyone with a giant win over Mei Ying.  No one saw that coming as the “invincible” persona of Mei Ying appears to be over.

Also scoring a big upset on the ladies side of things was Cora Jade with a shocking win over Franky Monet.  Monet came in with a lot of hype and has done nothing but lose since arriving.  Cora Jade looked good and this will be fun to watch develop.

Other stuff

Odyssey Jones lost to LA Knight thanks to interference from Andre Chase in what felt slightly predictable.  Also, it was Joe Gacy scoring a win over Ikemen Jiro.  Gacy is OVER as a heel but apparently a monster named Parker Boudreaux wants a piece of him now.

How did AEW compete on Wednesday?  Let’s get right to it on page two.
