Dustin Rhodes vs Shawn Spears
Summary – It’s hard to believe Dustin Rhodes has been wrestling since 1991 and continues to look strong. He is not some broken down veteran looking for one last pay day, rather a valuable member of this roster that continues to lend credibility to it.
His opponent is the former Tye Dillinger who still looking to crack into the AEW Top Five. It may be a wile for Spears before he can get there, however. This is a must win for both guys in all honesty. Rhodes has shown he came be a locker room leader and do what is right for business as he has lost several times on pay per view since the company began.
Spears has been doing some excellent promo work and remains entertaining during a time the AEW needed it. I’d expect them to reward his work with a win on PPV as Rhodes will do what’s right for business in the process.
Prediction – Spears
MJF vs Jungle Boy
It is almost a no brainer that MJF will remain red hot with another win in this one. I do not see a single benefit of having Jungle Boy win this one. JR did everything he could to get him over on commentary Wednesday night, but the long-term signs point directly at MJF being a top heel.
Having MJF take down Cody at their last PPV and lose to Jungle Boy Jack Perry would make little to no sense. MJF has nothing to gain in this one, but far too much to lose. A win would put Perry on the map however.
Prediction – MJF
Dr. Britt Baker vs Kris Statlander
Summary – This one is now completely up in the air as rumor has it that Baker tore her ACL last Wednesday on Dynamite. I truly hope that is not true because Baker has been amazing lately in every facet. If this match happens, she has to get the win.
Prediction – Baker
