AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 Preview & Predictions

The Women

Serena Deeb vs Riho for the NWA Women’s Championship

Preview –  Deeb is a superb talent between those ropes and can put on a hell of a match with just about anyone.  I think it hurts the AEW brand by having to feature NWA women on their show however and this is something that does not need to keep taking place.  AEW should focus on building their own division which has struggled since conception.

Placing a title on the 90-pound Riho is a mistake in any company.  This was the initial nail the in the AEW Women’s Division coffin. The NWA which I’m guessing would be the one booking this match, would be wise to keep the strap on Deeb.

Prediction – Deeb

Hikaru Shida vs Dr. Britt Baker

Preview – Finally, the match AEW fans have been craving for months to see.  Baker is one of the top heels in the company, and thus actually starting to get over as a face now too. If last nights crowd reaction wasn’t a clear indicator of that, I don’t know what is.

Shida has been amazing and one of the few bright spots of the AEW Women’s Division this past year.  However, as good as she has been, her title run is now in the danger zone with Baker coming on strong.  I see the title eventually moving to Baker, but not yet because every other champion in AEW is a heel at this time with The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Miro all holding gold.

The title will swap to Baker this summer, but not until at least one other champion is a face by that point.

Prediction – Shida
