The second annual AEW Double or Nothing is scheduled for Saturday Night. All signs point to this one being every bit as good as the inaugural edition if not better. AEW has stepped up big time during the epidemic as the rest of the sports world has stood still.
They have shown week after week on how to do a “empty arena” show. With the camera angles they use, the wrestlers and crew sitting in the crowd and the outstanding in ring work, they haven’t missed a beat, but rather, have gotten better!
The event was originally scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The venue, however, canceled all events up through May 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. AEW subsequently announced that the PPV would still proceed as planned but from the Dailey’s Center where they have been holding their live shows.
As many fans know, this is the venue located directly next door to the Jacksonville Jaguars football stadium. This is just one of the perks of having Tony Khan as the owner, and Cody Runnels as the creative genius behind AEW. Saturdays show will continue to show big things are certainly ahead for this rising wrestling promotion. Let’s get to the card ahead and attempt to pick some winners as well.
