AEW Double Or Nothing Comes Up Big

MJF over Jungle Boy Jack Perry was very smart booking. It would have been insane to have MJF beat Cody on the last PPV, just to turn around and put Perry over.  And listen, here’s the thing, Perry is good but the over the top love for him by JR last night and other nights gets to be a little much.

He hit a few really good spots, but calling him “the future of the business” is a little much. If they develop a cruiserweight division, then that is where he can shine.

My first thought when they showed Tyson holding the TNT Belt, I thought to myself, “oh my God, what the hell were they thinking?”.  Thank goodness within moments Tony Schiavone explained that it’s only a template and the real one will be revealed soon. Once that nightmare was over, it was time to settle in and enjoy the actual nightmare.

It was good and showed that Cody can carry anyone when he has to. It was also smart to put him over and give him his first piece of AEW Gold.  Think about it for a second guys and gals, he waited a year and put several others over in the meantime. Cody and the Young Bucks are true leaders and constantly put others first.

Anyone bitching about this decision is clueless and needs to stop talking. This is not a HHH type situation where he buries other in search of his own glory.  Anything but!

They continue to make Archer a monster but showed what can happen when he loses his leader in Jake The Snake Roberts.  It was smart and good booking for the future if Archer ever turns on Roberts for letting him down.

Having Arn Anderson finally do something in the corner of Cody was much needed.  Until now, he had been regulated to holding his Denny’s Menu and just itching to get involved.
