No one receives the type of treatment the Bees do. Sadly, we do not have a single sponsor from Brecksville and have received $10.00 in parent donations. We can no longer justify covering Bees athletics at no charge unless we receive some urgent help.

Brecksville, OH: The Kenston Bombers (2-2, 1-0 CONF) were shut out Friday night, falling to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees (2-2, 1-0 CONF), 20-0. Kenston falls to 2-3, while
Brecksville improves to 3-2 on the year.
Brecksville controlled the game from the opening quarter, with multiple explosive passing plays from quarterback #15 Alex Henegar to build an early lead. The Bees’ defense was everywhere and made it very difficult for the Kenston offense all night, recording multiple sacks and tackles for loss throughout the night.
First Half
Kenston received the opening kickoff and started with good field position at its own 42-yard line, but the Bombers were unable to capitalize and went three-and-out.
Brecksville quickly took advantage. On third-and-17 from their own 30-yard line, quarterback #15 Alex Henegar dropped back and connected with #8 Peyton Williams for a 50-yard gain on a fade route down the left sideline. The play moved the ball to the Kenston 20.
After a 16-yard completion to #3 Bryndan Williams on 3 rd and 6 it moved the Bees to the five- yard line, Brecksville faced fourth-and-goal from the four. Henegar went play action and found
#10 Tyler Soeder in the flat for the first touchdown of the night. The extra point was good, giving the Bees a 7-0 lead with six minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Brecksville continued to find success through the air in the second quarter. Henegar again connected with #8 Peyton Williams on a fade down the left sideline, this time for 34 yards, putting the ball at the Kenston 20.
The Bees finished the drive when #15 Henegar again found #10 Soeder wide open in the flat for a four-yard touchdown on 4 th and goal. The extra point was good, extending Brecksville's lead to 14-0 with 5:12 remaining in the first half.
Kenston tried several different approaches to get its offense going, including using #3 Will Hamm in the wildcat formation. The Bombers were limited to just two pass attempts in the first half.
The Brecksville defense continued to apply pressure. On third-and-14 from the Bees' 35-yard line, Kenston quarterback #30 Michael Cieslak was sacked by defensive lineman #70 Zac Woods for a 15-yard loss, forcing a fourth down.
Brecksville nearly added another score before halftime. With 26 seconds remaining and the ball
at its own 29-yard line, running back Tut Matchittom broke loose for a 55-yard run, taking the ball all the way to the Kenston 16. However, Brecksville had no timeouts remaining and could not get another play off before the clock expired.
At halftime, Brecksville led 14-0 and would receive the second-half kickoff.
Second Half
Brecksville continued to threaten early in the third quarter. On third-and-10 from midfield, Henegar found Peyton Williams for a 32-yard gain on a post route over the middle, moving the ball to the Kenston 18-yard line.
Kenston’s defense came up with a huge play to prevent another score. Defensive back #8 Ethan Burge intercepted Henegar's pass in the end zone, giving the Bombers possession at their own 20-yard line.
Kenston’s offense continued to struggle against a Brecksville defense that consistently generated pressure all night long.
The Bees had another opportunity early in the fourth quarter after a bad snap on a Kenston punt sailed over the punter’s head. The play resulted in a 23-yard loss, giving Brecksville the ball at the Kenston 13-yard line.
Kenston’s defense held strong, forcing the Bees to turn the ball over on downs after failing to convert fourth-and-eight from the 11-yard line.
Brecksville would eventually put the game away with 6:14 remaining. Facing third-and-five from the Kenston 15, #15 Henegar found #13 Tyler Widmor in the back of the end zone.
Widmor went up over a defender and came down with the catch for a 15-yard touchdown.
The extra point was no good, leaving the Bees with a 20-0 advantage.
Kenston could not generate a scoring drive in the closing minutes, and Brecksville held on for the 20-0 victory.

Big Plays
Brecksville’s passing attack produced several explosive plays, with Peyton Williams catching
passes of 50, 34 and 32 yards for a total of 116 yards. Matchittom also ripped off a 55-yard run at the end of the first half.
Kenston’s biggest defensive play came when Ethan Burge intercepted Henegar in the end zone in the third quarter, preventing a potential Brecksville score.
