Akron, Ohio – The Revere Minutemen picked up their first victory of the 2026 season with a 28-12 victory over Akron Garfield at Kenmore Stadium Saturday afternoon.
After forcing a Garfield punt, the Minutement got on the board first as TJ Meech opened up the scoring with a five yard touchdown run. The PAT was good to give Revere a 7-0 lead.
Two plays into the second quarter, Brady Hajdu rushed for a four yard touchdown to increase the Minutemen lead to 14-0.
Lane Shenigo rushed for a four yard touchdown to increase the Minutemen lead to 21-0.

Garfield forced a punt on the next drive and got into the red zone, looking to cut further into their deficit. The Rams would get to the red zone, but Davis Hajdu came up with an interception off a tipped pass.
However, Akron Garfield would force a turnover of their own. Sophomore Xavier Woods stepped in front of a Carter Hajdu pass and took it to the house from 54 yards.
Late in the first half, Darius Sales picked off another pass for Akron Garfield.
Revere led 21-12 at the break, and would maintain their lead after three quarters.
For the majority of Saturday’s game, the Minutemen turned to their ground game, which paid a lot of dividends. Facing fourth-and-five from the Akron Garfield 14, Revere went for it. TJ Meech took a direct snap and picked up just enough yards for a first down.
Two plays later, junior Brady Hajdu scored from nine yards out to increase the Revere lead to 28-12.
The secondary also came up with three interceptions in the fourth quarter as well, as junior defensive back Marco Geise picked off a pair of passes, and Davis Hajdu came up with his second interception as well.
