War on the Shore Delivers Memorable Night for Cleveland Boxing

CLEVELAND, OH — “War on the Shore” delivered an action-packed evening of boxing, featuring seven competitive amateur bouts and a compelling professional card that showcased both rising prospects and established local talent.

Amateur standouts included Davion Porter, Sam Stefan, Leonard Tanks, and Dennis Kunseky, each earning decision victories. The Fight Factory of Cleveland was particularly impressive, as Julian Dolan, Edvuardo Rico Montes, and Sam Emerson all secured wins by technical knockout.

The professional card opened with cruiserweight Jordan Gruszewski, who dominated veteran Jimmie Devins before Devins retired on the stool after three rounds. Gruszewski improves to 5-1-1 (4 KOs). In the second bout, Dylan “The Misfit” Prpic made a strong impression in his professional debut, stopping Trae Cusac in the first round via TKO. Fan favorite Nick Rezek continued his momentum with a controlled performance against Brock Willis, earning a stoppage 32 seconds into the fourth round to move to 7-2 (3 KOs).

A highly anticipated matchup between Cleveland’s Hamza Abedrabo and Akron’s David Rodriguez ended in controversy. Following an illegal takedown and strikes on a grounded opponent, officials from the Ohio Athletic Commission ruled the bout a disqualification victory for Abedrabo, who improves to 7-2 (3 KOs).

The evening concluded with a historic main event, as Peggy Whitmore and Brittany Ordonez headlined a professional card in Cleveland, competing in eight three-minute rounds. The bout delivered high-level action throughout, including a significant cut suffered by Whitmore due to an accidental clash of heads in round two.

After eight hard-fought rounds, the fight was ruled a majority draw, moving Ordonez to 6-6-4 and Whitmore to 6-1-1. Promoted by Gedeon Promotions, the event reflects a continued commitment to developing local fighters and supporting the Cleveland boxing community. The promotion’s next event is tentatively scheduled for July.
