Chippewas Silenced the BGSU Falcons on Sunday’s match up

On Sunday, April 12, the Central Michigan Chippewas delivered a complete performance on both the mound and at the plate, shutting out Bowling Green 21-13 in a Mid-American Conference matchup.

The Chippewas’ lineup delivered across the board, highlighted by a big day from Brady Krzciok, who drove in four runs with extra-base production, and Harrison Bowman, who also plated four runs to fuel the offensive surge. Central Michigan consistently put pressure on Bowling Green’s pitching, stacking multi-hit performances throughout the order.

Zach Knowlton and Bryson Webb added steady production at the top of the lineup, while Logan Keilan and Spence Verburg contributed key hits in the middle innings as Central Michigan built separation. The Chippewas capitalized on free passes and timely hitting to extend innings and keep the Falcons’ defense on their heels.

Bowling Green responded with their own offensive moments, led by Carter Mottice and Pauly Mancino, each recording multiple hits and driving in runs. Andrew Dilodovico and Zack Horky also chipped in RBI hits as the Falcons attempted to stay within striking distance.

However, Central Michigan’s depth and consistent run production proved too much, as Bowling Green’s pitching staff struggled to contain rallies across multiple innings.

The win gave the Central Michigan Chippewas a strong conference result, while the Bowling Green Falcons will look to regroup heading into their next matchup against the University of Dayton.
