The Ford Motor Company Ohio Assembly Plant is stepping onto the pitch this summer — not just as a manufacturer and employer, but as a champion for local youth and community opportunity.
In partnership with Lorain County Leviathan FC, Ford will sponsor the club’s June Youth Soccer Clinic, helping provide camp scholarships that ensure young athletes across Lorain County have access to the game regardless of financial circumstances. The initiative reflects a shared belief that soccer should be available to every child who wants to play.
For over half a century, Ohio Assembly Plant has served as one of the region’s economic pillars, and employs more than 1,500 hardworking Northeast Ohio residents. Beyond building vehicles, Ford continues to invest directly in the communities where its employees live, work, and raise families — supporting programs that promote health, teamwork, and youth development.
The Lorain County Leviathan youth camp, scheduled for June, will offer professional coaching, skill development sessions, and mentorship opportunities designed to grow both players and people. Scholarships funded through Ford’s sponsorship will open the door for more families to participate, removing financial barriers and expanding access to organized soccer.
