Friday, Feb. 13: Falcons fell 11-5 to #4/5 Georgia Tech, as the Yellow Jackets’ lineup opened up the season with an offensive barrage. But on Saturday, Feb. 14th, the doubleheader continued its dominance, handing Bowling Green a 27-4 loss and later a 12-2 defeat, which led to the 0-3 opening of the season.

On the Mound and at the Plate
Bowling Green found limited success offensively, generating runs in each game, but was unable to sustain rallies. Several Falcons recorded hits during the series, gaining valuable experience against one of the nation’s top programs.
The team had a total of 2 runs, 4 hits, 2 RBIs, 4 walks, 8 strikeouts, and 2 left on base. Senior Sam Seidel, junior Pauly Mancino, freshman Andrew DiLodovico, and sophomore Carter Mottice each one hit.
On the Mound, BGSU’s pitching staff was tested by Georgia Tech’s power hitters. The Falcons pitchers battled, but ultimately couldn’t contain the Yellow Jackets’ deep lineup, resulting in a challenging outing for the weekend starters.
What’s Next for the Falcons
The Falcons (0-3 on the season will head next to Western Carolina University for a three-game set starting Feb. 20th as they look to rebound and build early-season momentum.
With conference play still ahead, the BGSU Falcons will need to make some changes in order to gain some wins.
