The Cleveland, Ohio, 2025-2026 high school hockey season officially begins Friday, November 14. There are six games on Friday, twelve games are scheduled for Saturday, November 15, and twelve more games are scheduled for Sunday, November 16. This weekend marks the start of the regular season and will conclude on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
There are six exciting games lined up for Friday, November 14. The first puck drop will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Rocky River Ice Rink, where the Avon Lake Shoremen will host the Benedictine Bengals. The next puck drop will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Auto Mart Arena, where the Strongsville Mustangs will take on the Kenston Bombers. At 6 p.m., the puck will drop at Hamilton Ice Arena, where the Clay Black Panthers will face the Steele Comets. The Chagrin Falls Tigers will host the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals at The Pond at 6:30 p.m.. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. at the Gilmour Ice Arena, where the Mayfield Wildcats will take on the Bay Rockets. The final game on Friday will take place at 7:45 p.m. at Thornton Park, where the Shaker Heights Red Raiders will host the Holy Name Green Waves.
The day starts early on Saturday, November 15, with twelve thrilling games lined up throughout the day. The Mentor Cardinals start the day facing off against the Clay Black Panthers at the Hamilton Ice Arena at 9:45 a.m.. At 12:45 p.m., the next puck will drop at the Compton Family Ice Arena in Indiana between the St. Ignatius Wildcats and St. Mary’s Prep. St. Edward faces off against Bishop O’Connell at 1:30 p.m., also at the Compton Family Ice Arena. The Mayfield Wildcats host the Orange Lions at 3:30 p.m. at the Gilmour Academy Ice Rink. At 4:30 p.m., the puck will drop at the Dan Kostel Recreation Center, where the Elyria Catholic Panthers will host the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs. The next puck will drop at 4:45 p.m. at the Boardman, where the Canfield Cardinals will host the Normandy Invaders.
There are two electrifying games scheduled at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Westlake Demons will host the Aurora Greenman at the North Olmsted Rec, and the Avon Eagles will host the Olmstead Falls Bulldogs at the Dan Kostel Recreation Center. The action continues when the Walsh Jesuit Warriors will host the Padua Franciscan Bruins at 6 p.m. at the BAM East Rink. The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions will host the Nordonia Knights at 7:30 p.m. at the Mentor Ice Arena. At 8:40 p.m., the puck will drop at The Pond when the Chagrin Falls Tigers will face off against the Kenston Bombers. The final game on Saturday will be at 9:45 p.m. at the Rocky River Ice Rink, where the Steele Comets will take on the Avon Lake Shoremen.
Sunday, November 16, kicks off with the Avon Lake Shoremen hosting the Mentor Cardinals at the Rocky River Ice Rink at 8:30 a.m.. St. Edwards will face off against Central Catholic at the Governor’s Cup in South Bend, IN, at 9:30 a.m.. At 10:45 a.m., the Canfield Cardinals will host the Westlake Demons at the Deep Freeze Ice Arena. The St. Ignatius Wildcats will take on the Providence Catholic Pioneers at 11:15 a.m. at the Compton Family Ice Arena in Indiana. The Hamilton Ice Arena will host the Clay Black Panthers against the Rocky River Pirates at 12 p.m.. There is a significant break in the day before the next game begins at 2:40 p.m., when the Bay Rockets will host the Brooklyn Hurricanes. The next game will be at 3 p.m. at the Parma Rise Rink, where the Normandy Invaders will host the Chagrin Falls Tigers. The Padua Franciscan Bruins will host Gilmour Academy at the BAM Arena at 3:30 p.m..
The action continues on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in South Bend, IN, at the Governor’s Cup when University School faces off against Central Catholic. The Solon Comets will host the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals at the Gilmour Academy Ice Arena at 5 p.m.. There is another break in the action before it continues again at 7 p.m., which will also take place at the Gilmour Academy Ice Arena. This game will be hosted by the Nordonia Knights, who will face off against the Cleveland Heights Tigers. The final game on Sunday will take place at 8:45 p.m., where the St. Edward Eagles will face the DeMatha Stags at the Compton Family Ice Arena in Indiana.
Cleveland high school hockey teams have been preparing for this upcoming hockey season, and it is expected to be full of action and excitement. Each team is trying to secure a spot in this year’s state tournament that will take place March 14-15, 2026, at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
