Aurora (7-0) Defense is the name of the game at Aurora. And the Greenmen have been stout on defense this season, not giving up more than 7 points in any of their games, except for a whopping 13 against Padua Week 4. But in that game, they managed to rally from a 13-0 deficit to win 14-13, and are still undefeated this year. This week: at Medina Highland
Streetsboro (7-0) The Rockets have lived up to their name on the offensive side of the ball, averaging around 42 points per game. Even in their lowest scoring outputs of the season (Week 3 against Southeast (28-25) and Week 5 at Ravenna (21-20), they still managed to come out victorious on the road. They are off to their best start since 1992, and are looking for their first 8-0 start in school history and at least a share of the PTC Metro Division. This week: vs. Field
Garrettsville Garfield (7-0) The G-Men are off to their best start in a long time, and have been putting up points in bunches this season. They sit 2nd in Division 5, Region 17 and control their own destiny, not to mention they’re in a tie for the lead in the PTC County Division. This week: vs. Mogadore
Mogadore (6-1) The Wildcats are as good as advertised this year. After losing in Week 3 to Lima Central Catholic, they have reeled off three straight wins, the second of those being a statement win at PTC County foe Rootstown in Week 6 to knock the Rovers from the ranks of the unbeaten. They sit 4th in Division 6, Region 21 and control their own destiny. This week: at Garfield
Ravenna (5-2) The Ravens are hungry to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Four of their seven games have had a margin of five points or less, and they have won three of those games (Kent Roosevelt, Field, Tallmadge). They currently sit 7th in a very hotly contested Division 3, Region 9. This week: vs. Coventry
Rootstown (5-2) The Rovers won five straight to start the season, two of those coming against regional finalist Gilmour (32-0), and Division VII contender St. Thomas Aquinas (35-28). Despite hitting a recent two-game skid, they are still in the thick of the Division V, Region 17 playoff race (5th). They have a chance to right the ship at home against Crestwood Friday night.
Crestwood (6-1) The Red Devils are off to their best start since 2016, their last playoff appearance. They sit in a tie for 7th in Division 5, Region 17, and have three huge games to close out the regular season. This week: at Rootstown
Kent Roosevelt (4-3) The Rough Riders got a big win last Friday night against Tallmadge, 31-10, to stay in the thick of the Suburban League American Division race. They have a bit of ground to make up in the Division II, Region 5 playoff race, currently sitting 15th, but have three opportunities to pick up some computer points to close the season. This week: vs. Revere
Field (3-4) The Falcons, after a rough 2018 campaign, find themselves in contention for a playoff berth in Division 4, Region 13. They currently sit 11th in the region after a homecoming victory against PTC Metro foe Woodridge, and have a huge game at Streetsboro this Friday with a chance to pick up some huge computer points.
Southeast (3-4) The Pirates dropped below .500 after two tough losses to Mogadore and Crestwood. They also gave Streetsboro a scare in Week 3 before falling, 28-25. This week: at Valley Christian
