Browns’ Season in Danger After Loss to Commanders

The Browns fell to the Commanders 34-14 on Sunday while Jayden Daniels continued his historic season. One facet of Cleveland did not disappoint. Special teams have been the best unit all year, behind the amazing leg of Corey Bojorquez. He averages 51.9 yards per punt, which is third in the NFL, with 14 being inside the 20 yard line, which is tied for first. The bad news, he has 30 punts already.

Now, what is wrong with a punter doing his job? How about averaging 6 punts per game! The biggest issue is the inability to move the ball downfield. The offense has been awful. The offensive line is injured, and it shows. Deshaun has not lived up to his contract in the slightest, and the receivers can’t catch a beach ball. This offense will stay that way until changes are made. The trade deadline is less than a month away. A big name to look for until the deadline, Amari Cooper, who still leads the league in drops.

The defense will not be let off the hook either. Even if their stats looked good prior to the game, they gave up 238 passing yards and 215 rushing yards. Yes, they forced two turnovers, which should have been three, but from opening drive to all zeros, the defense did not show up. Jim Schwartz will need to spark something soon because next week against the Eagles, who are coming off a bye week, will be a rough one if the Browns stay on this path.
