The Bay Village Rockets took on the Buckeye Bucks in Week 5 of the High School Football Season.

And it was a pretty un-eventful one as the Bucks rolled on top the Rockets in the 31-0 shutout.

It all started off poorly for Bay as running back Rocco Ereditario fumbled it away to Buckeye on the first drive of the game.

It didn’t take long for Buckeye at all to score as running back Troy McCann would score his first of two touchdowns on the night.

McCann would pretty much be the Bucks’ primary offense as he accounted for over 100 yards rushing on 18 carries.

Bay unfortunately could not do anything on offense whatsoever tonight. Quarterback Michael Farrell struggled all night behind a weak offensive line that gave up a total of 6 sacks.

Farrell would finish with just over 50 passing yards on the night as his playmakers were no help either.

This would tell you all you need to know about the lockdown Buckeye defense tonight. Accounting for 6 sacks, a fumble, and of course the shutout itself.

Although most of the offense came on the ground for Buckeye, quarterback Turner Dolata was still efficient with 95 passing yards, and 1 touchdown.

Dolata did have big completions of 30 yards, 20 yards, and 28 yards as he made sure he did the most he can in limited throwing opportunities.

This is where you have to give credit to wide receiver Trey Widenmeyer who brought in two of the big passes including the lone 28-yard touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter putting Buckeye up 24-0.

The final touchdown of the night would come from Buckeye’s backup running back Ryan Wilhem to give the Bucks their 31-0 final shutout score.

Tonight’s player of the game would no doubt have to be running back Troy McCann. He was a workhouse with 18 carries totaling over 100 yards with 2 touchdowns on the night.
