AEW is coming off the biggest weekend in company history and one that has made them a clear-cut contender for the number one Wrestling promotion in the world. They sold out 90,000 seat Wembley Stadium. Things are going AMAZING for AEW, but sadly, no one is talking about that, but just the latest ugly incident involving CM Punk. So why is Tony Khan risking it all to appease a complete Ego Maniac on the downside of his career like CM Punk?
It’s simple, CM Punk is a cancer, he has been since day one of arriving in AEW and Khan doesn’t seem to get it. This company was better before him, and will be better after him. This latest ugly incident with Jungle Boy Jack Perry is not the first and won’t be the last in a long line of stupid, cancerous things done by Punk since arriving in AEW in late 2021.
It’s simple folks, this is a rock-solid company, with great leadership, amazing talent and sometimes solid booking. Why risk it to cater to one guy? AEW Collision, the show created solely to cater to the ego of Punk has been an epic disaster, that should be proof alone.
Khan hates to be compared to late 90’s WCW, but this is the exact reason they screwed up a sure thing. They let ego and money get the best of them and destroy a profitable company. Bottom line, CM Punk is bad for the product, and needs to go.
Unless you’re going to books 50 shows a year in Chicago, this is never going to work.
