My girlfriend and I, decided to attend the Olmsted Falls vs. Avon Lake high school football game last Friday. It was to say the least a fantastic game, even when the clouds decided to open and downpour midway through the second half.
The Bulldogs came to play, and boy did they. The Dogs completely dismantled the Shoreman, a team that has had their number for several years. I was completely shocked when the Bulldogs went ahead by over thirty in the second half and the “running clock” was instituted.
They held on to that margin of at least thirty and won by a final score of 35-3! As great as that was, the main reason we attended this game was to see our nephew, perform in his final regular season home game. The band of course, was phenomenal! It’s always such a treat to see these youngsters especially our nephew and his sister, our niece.
They rocked the stadium, and all the family members and friends were enjoying every minute as they grooving to the music of one of the best, if not the best band in the area. Olmsted Falls is poised to go to the playoffs, and we are hoping for a long run.
Our nephew has been accepted to a college in the state and we shall see if he continues playing the trombone as he furthers his education, but we still have two more years to keep enjoying this band as his sister still has two more years left and I know it will be just as exciting as it has been these past four years.
So very proud of them both, and excited to see what the future holds for these two outstanding, motivated, humble young adults. Let’s Go Bulldogs!
Thank you so much my bro for such a great piece about OFHS football team and band! I too was amazed by this win and they have the best band ever backing them up!!
