She put others first at all times. This is the kind of young lady who is a role model for young girls like my own.  She will never take the credit, even when she deserves it. She is the kind of young woman you would trust to watch your children, as much as you would trust to hit the game winning shot.

I cannot say enough good things about Emma Knick.  Back when the Player Spotlight Series was strictly Football and Basketball, we started to add volleyball players, track stars, cross county athletes and so many more.  You can thank Emma for that. She put others first!  I’ll leave it at that…..

Sometimes young men and women today can be labeled unfairly.  I’ve seen it at bigger football schools where high school athletes walk around and act like pro’s, too good for the media, Emma Knick is the furthest thing from that. No matter what she decides to do in life, she will go far.  You can take that to the bank.

Assistant coach Ben Hodge has this to say about Emma, ”

Emma Knick is one of the hardest working athletes I know. There’s never a day off for Emma especially in the off season for all her sports. But what makes Emma special is what she does for her community.

I could list several community service projects she has done, but the most recent being… when the Shoregals were quarantined the last two weeks of the season Emma made several blankets to give to people in need.”

    2. What a great way to honor your dad, Don. Who truly is a great man. I’m lucky to have the privilege to know him. I’m also privileged to know the award recipient Allison Milligan as I have had the opportunity to coach her in another sport she excels in – volleyball. Congratulations Allison.
      Thanks Vince.

  3. I just recently learned of KEEonSports and feel I have missed so much!! Your coverage is wonderful and your humor great! So glad I have 2 more grand daughters coming up to high school in the future. Although this season had it problems with COVID, you have kept things informative and interesting. Thank you!
