Player of the Year
Levi Ellis of Elyria Catholic
Reason – Have you heard the term, “the ball doesn’t lie”?. Well, when it comes to Ellis, the stats don’t lie and this young man piled them up this season on both sides of the ball. When you factor in the high physical demand the positions he plays takes on a body, it just becomes even more impressive. Ellis has the Elyria Catholic faithful dreaming of a trip to Canton this December, and for good reason!
On offense he ran for a Lorain County high, 1362 yards on 199 attempts for a tremendous 6.8 per carry average. He caught 18 balls for 201 yards for a combined total of 1500 plus yards on the season. That is not where it ends with Ellis however, he also dominated on defense as well. Ellis finished with 3 interceptions and 106 tackles, including 9 tackles for a loss.
Graham McDougle, Avon name is misspelled. It is MCDOUGLE. Thank you!
