Running Backs of The Year
We have a tie.
Marco Cirigliano of Columbia
1,156 rushing yards on 146 carries for an incredible 7.9 average. 25 TD’s
Reason – He changed the way we looked at Columbia this season. He put them back on the map and made them a serious force with his unstoppable running ability. He was a threat to score every time he touched the ball and became a must watch player. His 25 TD’s are a major reason the Raiders went 9-1 this year.
Levi Ellis of Elyria Catholic
1,362 yards on 199 carries with 25 touchdowns.
Also, 18 catches for 201 yards.
Reason – Levi Ellis did it all this season for the Panthers. It didn’t matter the down and distance, the call was for Ellis to get the job done. When you factor in everything this young man does on defense, and his stats become even more impressive.
Graham McDougle, Avon name is misspelled. It is MCDOUGLE. Thank you!
Proud Grandparents
Andre Yarber*
Sam DeTillio all the way!
Elyria Catholic’s Defense had 13 interceptions you forgot the 2 by Thomas Niederst and 1 by Archie Kenny and 1 by Anthony Demartinis
Amazing writing as always!!
