WWE Wrestling makes its debut on ESPN this coming Saturday the 20th of September with WWE Wrestlepalooza. Five matches have been announced and we have strong feelings on all of them.
Here are our official predictions!
Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer for vacant WWE Women’s World Championship
Who will win? Stephanie Vaquer
Why will she win? Iyo Sky has had two lengthy runs with the title with several wins over big names. Stephanie Vaquer is beyond over right now with the fans and will win this match.
That aside, expect a full beatdown from Asuka and Kari Sane to Sky after she loses, either at the show or the following RAW.
The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) vs. The Vision (Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker)
Who will win? The Vision
Why will they win? Even a blind man can see this coming. Jey is about to go full on heel and yet another split with his brother is coming. I’d expect LA Knight to get involved somewhere here too.
CM Punk and AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch
Who will win? CM Punk and AJ Lee
Why will they win? I’m already ready for this to be over and it is just starting. For the record, old school pro wrestling logic proves there is zero reason for a champion to win any non-title match he is in, unless his name was Hulk Hogan tagging up at a SummerSlam back in the day.
Either a Punk pin over Rollins or a Lynch pin over AJ Lee continues to build an eventual title match between the two. It’s that simple.
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Who will win? Drew McIntyre by DQ
Why will they win? If Logan Paul doesn’t get involved, then I expect Cody to somehow get himself DQ’d in this one, setting up a rematch. If Logan Paul gets involved, then Drew will be DQ’d, also setting up a rematch at WWE Hell in the Cell. If they go with a major title switch and actually move the belt, this show will be talked about forever and best for ESPN.
A lot of different ways this could go, but none of them are Cody pinning Drew, not yet at least. This entire thing is to build their Hell in the Cell match next month.
John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
Who will win? John Cena
Why will they win? They have been rivals on and off since Brock returned to the company in 2012. Brock, has almost always gotten the best of Cena, including taking the title from him at WWE SummerSlam 2014 in one of the most lopsided matches of all time.
I feel as though they return the win to Cena here to close out the final time they wrestle each other.
