by WWE WrestleMania is built around so much hype. Each and every year fans expect to be wowed, and most times they are! Everyone once and awhile however, they get extremely disappointed. Expectations sky high for something, only to see it fall flat.
Such as last year with Braun Strowman picking a little kid to be his tag partner, when many had hoped for Hulk Hogan or any other legend.
These below are the five most egregious of the bunch.
- Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg at WrestleMania XX
Brock Lesnar was seen as the “Next Big Thing” and Goldberg was seen as an unstoppable force as well as the greatest thing to ever come out of WCW folding. The buildup for their WrestleMania XX match was 3 plus months in the making and everyone wanted to see it.
Instead, the fans got a giant flop and both wrestlers were boo’d out of the building. Lesnar would leave for the next 8 years, while Goldberg left for nearly 13 years. The match did serious damage!
