WWE WrestleMania 36 Night Two Report Card

Edge vs Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match

Wow, wow, wow!  That was worth the wait and I loved every second of it. It was the ultimate comeback story packed with emotion on both ends.  They took from the positive buzz the Gargano and Ciampa backstage brawl got a few weeks ago and used it.

It was a long emotional story but with the brutality spaced far enough apart to make it last.  Plenty of high spots and it worked to also protect the neck and back of Edge.

He only had to take one serious bump and Orton protected him well on the fall, absorbing most of the blow on the top of the truck.

They pretty much covered every inch of the backstage area’s and got the most out of what they had.  Another reason why this match worked so well is because they didn’t need a crowd to make it work.  They relied solely on emotion and brutality.

The ending was terrific when Edge brought himself to tears smashing the skull of Orton.  It was almost the exact role reversal of the roles they played on RAW when this all began.

This entire angle was done to perfection as both seasoned veterans took their time, executed on every level and gave the fans something they deserved.  Grade = A+
