WWE WrestleMania Night Two Grades

The Fiend vs Randy Orton

Grade – D

Reason – The only thing keeping this from a failing grade is the incredible entrance from The Fiend.  I have no idea what the WWE is planning with that finish however.

Having the Fiend lose clean to 1 RKO destroys nearly two years of booking with him. That made no sense and fell badly flat. Vince McMahon and the WWE continue to show no faith when it comes to booking The Fiend/Bray Wyatt.

Tag Team For the Women’s Championships

Grade – A

Reason – WOW!  Never did I see that coming.  Tamina & Nattie vs Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax turned out to be a Five Star match!  I would expect that out of Nattie and Shayna, but the other two really stepped up big tonight as well.  Tamina played the underdog role perfectly and in the end, it was Baszler and Jax retaining the straps.

I will say this, they took a match thrown together last second, and made it into one I think many would pay to see again.  I truly hope this wasn’t a one off and they run it back again.

Riddle vs Sheamus for the United States Championship

Grade – A

Reason –  Sheamus doesn’t get nearly the credit he deserves when it comes to his in ring work.  For years he has been called “snug” in the ring.  Tonight, he proved that style works as Riddle came away with a bloody mouth and no title.

While I do not care much for the personality of Riddle and what he represents outside of the ring, I have to give him all the credit with what he can bring bell to bell.  He can wrestle and doesn’t mind putting his body on the line.  This match was another one that was very good, and I didn’t see it coming.
