WWE SummerSlam 2019 Predictions

Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship

Vince – Pick – The build up to this has been perfectly done.  Randy Orton has won three world titles at Summerslam as well, Benoit (04) Christian (11) and Bryan (13).  I think he wins another one here.

I hate to see the strap taken off Kingston so soon into a great run, but all signs point to it. The WWE wants the belt on a big name heading into the FOX Era, it appears Orton will be that name for now.

Isley – Winner: Kofi Kingston

The path to redemption (and beyond) continues for Kofi. Orton has claimed that Kofi only has his current success because of the Apex Predator, so Kofi squashes that notion with a trouble in paradise for the pin to retain the title.

Sharp – Orton has been out of the title picture so long that I don’t see him as a threat at all to Kingston’s title here. Kofi retains his title here, you can guarantee that.

Tyler – I like both men and I’m torn on what happens. Kofi has been money as champion but also Orton could do well as champ for the 15th time. These two had a helluva rivalry ten years ago and I’m curious if something happens to prolong this longer before a title changes hands. But I’m thinking Orton wins the title with a RKO. Pick: Orton

Cruz – I don’t really see Randy holding a World Title at this stage in his career. In addition, if Kofi loses here, it shows that Randy was right and that Kofi’s win was a fluke. Kofi has got to win.

Steve – Kofi retains. He’s been a HELL of a champion. I don’t see him losing to Randy.
