WWE RAW Hits & Misses

At Kee On Sports we are blessed to have multiple sponsors for our Sports Entertainment content.

Monday Night RAW had that big game feel last night following a stacked MITB PPV the night before. Considering it was the first RAW since March of 2020 in front of fans, the WWE had a lot to lose or gain.  They did quite a bit of both.

Before we get to what hit, and what missed, I do have this one quick question.

“WHERE THE HELL IS RANDY ORTON AND THE FIEND?”

Let’s get to the hit’s and misses.

HIT – Nikki Cross cashes in to win the RAW Women’s Championship

Hindsight is always 20/20 and now it all make sense why she scored wins over Charlotte and Rhea Ripley in the past months.  Fans were upset at how bad Ripley was booked as champion, and none of them wanted another Charlotte run with the gold.  Thus, without Becky Lynch coming back, this was the next best logical choice!  I just wonder if this means they bring back her husband Killian Dane after firing him?

Miss – Bill Goldberg returns to challenge Bobby Lashley

I was the biggest Goldberg fan back in the day.  I had his posters all over my room, his action figures, his T-shirt, all of it!  But that was the late 90’s and early 2000’s.  Those days are long gone!  Every time he returns it is the same exact routine.  Nothing changes and it has gotten very stale.

What really hurts the product is that he complains nonstop off air about being tired and sore. Who wants to hear about a guy in his mid-fifties complain about how old and sore he is, and then he is supposed to carry the banner of your company?  The WWE has spent 6 solid months building Bobby Lashley to be this unstoppable monster, this would be an epic fail if they allow Goldberg to win.

If the WWE couldn’t come to turns with Brock Lesnar, they should have designed a push around Damian Priest. Or at the very least, Matt Riddle and they could have played up both of their MMA pasts.  At the end of the day, no one wants to see this match, even Goldberg diehards like myself.

Hit – Reginald gets dumped by Nia Jax and then wins the 24/7 Championship

The relationship with Nia Jax has run its course and it was time to end.  He has shown some decent athletic ability and the 24/7 division can always use a fresh face as most members get released.

Miss – Keith Lee Returns to lose to Bobby Lashley

While I will admit, I’ve never been a Keith Lee fan, and simply cannot understand his popularity with fans, you don’t bring him back after months only to have him lose his first night back. Keith Lee was okay in NXT as North American Champion, since he won the NXT title and lost it within weeks to Karrion Kross he has been terrible.

Miss – Karrion Kross loses his debut

Speaking of Kross, what a total flop that turned out to be.  He has never lost a match in NXT and has become one of the best things in WWE.  Why in the hell would you have him on RAW, with zero promotion beforehand, without Scarlett and then have him lose to Jeff Hardy.  Wow, was that a terrible idea!

There were 5 total hits and misses, with the Misses winning 3-2 this week.
