#WWEMITB WWE Money In The Bank was tonight from Fort Wayne Texas, and as usual, there are plenty of Hot Takes to come out of the show.
The Uso’s win the Smackdown Tag Team Titles
Take – It was only a matter of time and the WWE decided tonight was the night for the switch. Is Jimmy Uso really dialed in as a loyal follower however? I’d expect more to come out of that eventually.
Nikki ASH wins the Women’s MITB ladder match
Her popularity has been on the rise as of yet, and the creative team decided to reward her. I also think this match may be the last time you see Liv Morgan on WWE television. I would expect her release soon as she has simply under performed with every push given to her.
AJ Styles and Omos get cheered in a successful title defense against The Viking Raiders.
This was not a surprise as you cannot force fans to boo Styles. His heel turns should be over for good. Give that man the singles push he has earned.
Bobby Lashley dominated Kofi Kingston to retain the WWE Championship
Smart move to continue the strong booking for Lashley as he heads for a hopeful showdown with Lesnar who was always booked strong. Let’s hope the deal is done and we get Lashley vs Lesnar at SummerSlam, if not, and it’s Goldberg, that will be a giant disappointment.
Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley steals the show!
It is hard to believe that on a night with two incredible MITB ladder matches, it was the RAW Women’s championship match that stole the show. Up until now, Ripley’s title run had been terrible. The feud with Flair wasn’t working and it all seemed very underwhelming. It was smart to end the reign tonight and move past all of this.
The match itself was incredible and stole the show! You may hate Flair, but you cannot deny she is the very best female in that ring, in the world. Her and Ripley have incredible chemistry and tonight they brought all of that out. The thing is, Flair can wrestle with anyone and make it work. When do we get that Lynch return however?
Big E is the Men’s MITB winner!
I’m happy to have picked this one correctly in my preview piece earlier this week. It is his time and after getting hosed out winning the Royal Rumble, the WWE owed him this.
It was a long time coming for Big E, and I think he eventually cashes in successfully. It may not be a for a while, but Langston has earned this with over a decade of quality service to the company and entertaining in any character they gave him.
The only part of this that makes me a bit sad, is for the first time in 16 months, this will officially remove Drew McIntyre from the title picture. He had a great run and did everything asked of him. As for now, he still doesn’t get that title run in front of fans.
Seth Rollins costs Edge his match with Roman Reigns
Ray Charles saw this one coming. I’m not sure it could have been any clearer forecasted. This now sets up the long rumored Rollins vs Edge match. It also opened the door for the long rumored John Cena return to face Reigns as “The Champ” returned to close the show!
