WWE Hell In Cell was tonight at the Thunderdome in what is supposed to be the final PPV in front of giant screen with pumped in noise. Thank goodness for that! How did tonight go? Rather predictable for the most part, let’s dive right in!
Bianca Belair retains her Smackdown Women’s Championship by pinning Bayley.
Take – Once again, Belair has the best match on the card. Her dance partner tonight, Bayley, has been a place holder until the eventual rematch with Sasha Banks takes place, however, Bayley continued to provide solid television along with her stellar in ring work.
Seth Rollins defeats Cesaro
Take – The mini push of Cesaro once again comes to an end. Clearly, Vince McMahon can care less what Mick Foley begged for on the Stone-Cold Podcast. A good match, but it may be time for Cesar to leave the WWE. Just pointless at this point to stick around.
Alexa Bliss defeats Shayna Baszler
Take – The Alexa Bliss storyline and character went from being great, to being hokey. This was awful and I have no idea how they get out of this corner they have painted themselves into. She’s unbeatable, and the Fiend has been gone for 3 plus months. Where in the world is this going?
Sami Zayn over Kevin Owens
Take – Welp, the Indy marks can finally have something to cheer about. In the last 72 hours, Shinsuke Nakamura wins the King of the Ring crown, and now their other darling gets a clean win over Owens.
Charlotte Flair wins by DQ over Rhea Ripley
Take – This feud still has plenty of legs left to go and both women are looking strong after tonight. Neither took a serious hit, and it leaves the door wide open to a bountiful of future matches between them.
When does Becky come back? That may be the only wrinkle we haven’t see yet to this.
Bobby Lashley retains his WWE Heavyweight Championship with a win over Drew McIntyre
Take – Bring on the heel turn of McIntyre along with the re-emergence of Brock Lesnar to challenge Lashley next.
