The 2023 WWE draft continued tonight on Monday Night Raw on the USA Network.
Here is a breakdown of each round, and the analysis of it all.
Round One
Drafted to RAW Rhea Ripley & Seth Rollins
Drafted to Smackdown picks: Austin Theory & Charlotte Flair
Reaction – This was more of a housekeeping round than anything else quite frankly. Seth Rollins needed to be on Raw to chase after the new Heavyweight World Championship while also being with his real-life wife Becky Lynch. Meanwhile, with Bianca Belair on Smackdown, having Ripley on Raw was just a forgone conclusion as each brand needed a woman’s championship.
As for Smackdown, again, the Theory pick was simply housekeeping as each brand needs a secondary singles champ, and with Intercontinental Champion Gunther now on Raw, this just made sense. As for Charlotte returning soon to be on Smackdown, this more than anything means we will finally get the Charlotte vs Belair match we’ve all been waiting for.
