In the Tag Team boom period of the 1980’s, The Strike Force of Tito Santana and Rick Martel where ultra-popular. In fact, they were the team selected to unseat the Hart Foundation as tag champions. They had it all, the looks, the moves and seemed to be back on the right path after dropping the belts to Demolition one year earlier.
Rick Martel threw everyone for a loop when he turned on Santana, walking out on him in the middle of their match at Wrestlemania V against the Brain Busters.
Santana was never the same, and never again won a big match that anyone would remember. Meanwhile Martel went on to have an excellent career as a heel.
