WWE WrestleMania Top Five: Battle Royals

WrestleMania 35 is right around the corner from New York New Jersey. While this show will certainly feature yet another Andre The Giant Battle Royal, and maybe even another women’s battle royal, none can match the “good old” days when a Battle Royal at WrestleMania was a special attraction, and not just a given. We dug deep for this top five and certainly hope you enjoy!

  1. Wrestlemania X7 Gimmick Battle Royal

As usual, WrestleMania X7 tops yet another best of list. This was very cheesy, but very entertaining and a trip down memory lane for so many. There were some strange choices such as Michael PS Hayes and Jim Cornette, but overall appearances by such legends as The Repo Man, Duke The Dumpster Droese and The Iron Sheik made it all worth it!

2. WrestleMania 2 NFL Battle Royal

This was great! A 20 man over the top battle royal featuring NFL All Pro’s such as William the Refrigerator Perry, Russ Francis and Bill Fralic just to name a few. Wrestling legends included Big John Studd, Bruno Samartino and Andre The Giant in a star-studded match still talked about today.

3. WrestleMania IV Battle Royal

Nothing to remember here other then the match that turned Bret Hart babyface. Wrestling fans, you’re welcome! Signed – WrestleMania IV booking committee.

4. Divas Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25

They called her Santina, and she took the world by storm!

5. WrestleMania XIV Tag Team Battle Royal

The WrestleMania many feel kicked off the Attitude Era began with the re-uniting of the industries greatest tag team, The Legion of Doom! It set the tone for a very good night, and an excellent two year stretch!
